Emma is a theatre-maker, theatre director and teacher originally from Wales now based in London. She trained at Goldsmiths, University of London and at the Young Vic. She has worked in both the subsidised and commercial sectors; directing her own work and acting as assistant and associate director.

Emma’s work reflects current discourse it is her aim to make work which leaves the audiences changed, altered in some way. She believes she has a responsibility to contribute to the world she inhabits and address the state of society she occupies. Emma makes work that is exciting, timely, and politically engaging.

Emma is a visiting lecturer at University of Kent, Goldsmiths College, Arts Ed, West End Workshops, Theatre Academy London (Florida State University). Emma taught and directed at The Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology for five years.

Emma has worked extensively with young people, vulnerable adults and marginalised groups. She believes that theatre is for everyone and can be made by anyone. Emma is committed to the democratisation of theatre.
